Technology
Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Stockton, Modesto, California

At our practice, we are dedicated to keeping up to date on the latest advances in technology. This allows us to provide our patients with the highest quality of cosmetic dentistry possible. New machines and devices also enable us to perform different procedures faster and more pain free than ever before. Below is an overview of some the technology Dr. Miller and his staff may use during your treatment.
K7 Evaluation System
Used in neuromuscular dentistry, the K7 Evaluation System is a new technology that collects data about your jaw muscle activity. The system provides Dr. Miller with three technologies for measuring, displaying and storing objective data. These include:
- Jaw tracking
- Electromyography
- Joint Sonography
By assessing this data Dr. Miller’s diagnostic and treatment considerations can be more precise and accurate.
The small, portable K7 Evaluation System can be plugged in to the USB port of any PC type computer. Windows-based software provides color graphics make it easy to identify areas that are problematic, while carefully evaluating your neuromuscular needs. This detailed, in-depth look at your jaw activity allows us to determine exactly what your jaw needs to function properly.
TENS
Also used in neuromuscular dentistry, this is a therapy to help relax your jaw muscles. When jaws and muscles are in conflict, you may experience TMD symptoms such as headaches, pain in your jaw, and ringing in your ears.
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation) works by delivering gentle pulses to your facial muscles. The gentle pulsation and massaging of your muscles helps by:
- Increasing blood flow
- Easing any discomfort
- Relaxing the muscles in your face and jaw
- Enabling us to determine your most natural bite position
DIAGNOdent System
The state-of-the-art DIAGNOdent laser can detect tiny cavities without the need of X-rays. In the past, small cavities would have been undetectable until they had caused extensive damage.
With the DIAGNOdent laser, these inconspicuous cavities are identified with greater precision and can be addressed in their early stages. This laser works by processing the reflection of light wavelengths, which are beamed back to a small hand-held device which reveals where these cavities are lurking.
Soft Tissue Laser
A very effective tool for recontouring teeth and reshaping gums, a soft laser tissue works by removing excess gum tissue. Reshaping your gums can make small teeth appear larger by exposing more of your tooth. An even gum line can also enhance the look of your smile. Reshaping your teeth can make them appear less 'jagged' while softening the appearance of your smile.
The soft tissue laser works by using short, controlled bursts of light that are not detected by your nervous system. The laser therefore allows cosmetic dentists to execute normally painful surgeries with much less pain, proving a more comfortable experience.
